Introducing our lovely lake house in Quinninup, which sleeps 8 people (with ample space for cots, if required, in various rooms). It’s a very spacious 4×2 plus study and TV snug area, separate to the open plan lounge/dining/kitchen area. It’s a Queenslander (on stilts) with wrap-around verandahs, providing a direct view over Karri Lake and beautiful tall-timber views from every room. The lake has a beautiful 3.5 km walk trail around it. It’s only 15 mins drive further south than Diamond Forest Farm Stay, along South Western Highway, so guests can collect and return the keys on their way down from Perth and back, with no inconvenience. Quinninup is located about 25 minutes to Pemberton, Manjimup and Northcliffe; 40 minutes to Windy Harbour, and 75 minutes to Walpole.
The lake house has beautiful jarrah floorboards, genuine leather lounges in both lounge areas, and two separate wings, which gives privacy for couples with kids or separate families. The first wing has a high-quality queen bed in a huge bedroom, with a separate walk-in robe and ensuite bathroom. The second wing (separated by the shared, open-plan area) accommodates three large bedrooms (queen bed/two king single beds/one set of king single, solid wood bunk beds), with a shared bathroom (shower & bath) and separate toilet. There is a huge amount of storage in each bedroom and down the hall of the second wing. Three of the bedrooms overlook Karri Lake, with the bunk bedroom having beautiful forest views. There is a fully equipped kitchen, which includes an oven, grill, combi microwave oven, and dishwasher. There is a separate laundry with bench space, a washing machine and dryer, and on one side of the verandah, there is an undercover clothes line. Additionally, there is plenty of undercover parking.
We provide chopped wood for the indoor wood fire and it also has a reverse cycle AC. We also provide several electric oil heaters and electric blankets (in the cooler seasons) for the bedrooms. There is a very solid, comfortable, 10-seater dining setting on the verandah, with a beautiful view over the lake, as well as a BBQ. There are two Hobie kayaks (with a trolley to transport them, 30m to the lake) for your enjoyment. Quinninup has a lovely tavern 5-10 mins walk up the road, which offers nice food and friendly service. Quinninup also has free tennis courts, toilets, BBQs and a play area. We welcome our Quinninup guests to enjoy our farm facilities, including the daily animal feedings, offered to our farm stay guests.
Let us know if you would like to book. We are charging approximately $130/night more than the farm stay cottage prices, which, as you know, vary in price, depending on the season, length of stay and days of the week. For bookings, contact us on info@diamondforest.com.au or call 97723170 – It’s best to call us after 10am, Mon-Sat, after we’ve finished the animal feeding.
